The experience that I had in Professional smiles was amazing. Front desk staff Valeria and Jessica helped with scheduling and billing which made it so easy to understand the process to back end was phenomenal, Dr Patel was great at explaining step by step and giving me great feedback good or bad and I loved that. The most amazing dental deep cleaning was done by Ana and also I had Dimaris who took over to do the rest of my who did soooooo amazing that I do not want anyone else beside those two wonderful women, they are is extremely caring and really did her thing on my teeth. I have struggled with my smile for a long time. A lot of years of neglect because I was terrified of the dentist and also, let's face it, it can be quite expensive lol. But I finally decided to do something for me. It started with just a cleaning and needing a filling. (Ben was my hygienist and I highly recommend him!) This is when I met Dr. Patel, and let me just say, she is wonderful! I asked her about a mini smile makeover. I knew I needed to replace 2 crowns that were on top in my smile view. She talked to me about my options and we decided on 2 crowns and 4 veneers. She was honest about the process, the time and patience it would take and to keep an open mind. And boy was she right, it was a process but the end result...AMAZING! They worked with me on financing so I could actually afford it. I am so happy I met Dr.Patel. I cannot forget to mention Damaris and Amanda as well, as they both spent a lot of time with me, especially Damaris. Her attention to detail is refreshing and they never made me feel rushed. Their entire office, including the receptionists, have always been kind and accommodating. Thank you so much Professional smiles!!! You've helped me get my confidence back!!!! Attached are my before and after. And let me just say, there is NO filter on the after picture, they actually look that good!

This was my first visit. I was extremely impressed with the staff’s professionalism and the imaging technology used to evaluate and custom fit my treatment plan. My Dental Hygienist is Paola. She is very knowledgeable and dedicated to her clients. She was gentle, explained every step/procedure and reviewed co-pays prior to treatment. Dr Patel and her team were amazing. They were very detailed with explaining the pros and cons of everything. They even made recommendations that were for the benefit of my health and not financially beneficial for them like I have seen in other practices. I would give Dr. Shina Patel 10 stars instead of 5. Dr. Patel explained the dental work that I needed done and the procedure that was going to be performed. We then scheduled the appointment and she completed the work I needed done without any pain whatsoever. She worked quickly and with great care. If you want a great experience don’t hesitate and make an appointment, you won’t regret it. By the way her team gets 10 stars as well. From the front office staff to her dental assistant. Professional, courteous and making one feel welcome.

I had the same dentist for about 25 years up in New Jersey before moving to Florida. I checked some reviews online and found this place to be very promising based on their reviews. Good thing I did. I had what I think was my fourth visit there today and it was another excellent experience. keep in mind that your dental visits are a two-way street. The more work you do between cleanings and checkups, the less work they have to do to keep your teeth in good shape. if you neglect your teeth during the year, then you're just asking for trouble no matter where you go. so you do year your part of the deal and they will make everything much easier for you.

I am TERRIFIED of the dentist, so when my tooth cracked, I panicked. I saw favorable reviews of Professional Smiles and they got me in the same day for a consultation. My temporary crown was placed the following day with my permanent crown placed the following week. That went so well, I went in for a complete cleaning this week and plan to keep up with it every 6 months. Everyone at Professional Smiles is amazing. I had a great experience with Professional Smiles. At this point, I've had 3 visits and they were positive. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, and they don't give you long waits once you arrive for your appointment. The only negative I've experienced is a lack of openness to varied specialists when you need to be referred out to an endodontist. I couldn't get them to fax over a referral, even though their fax information was available because I was choosing to go to a different one outside of the one to whom they referred me. Of course, that wasn't very accommodating and I've never had a dentist office do that before. You have freedom to choose and they always gladly submit my referral information for me upon request. Besides this referral situation, the experience has been very positive thus far.

Found this practice through my insurance and I'm glad I did. Their office is nice and clean, and the front staff is always welcoming and quick at getting you checked in. Overall all the staff is nice, however the last time I was there I had to wait over an hour with anesthesia put in before the doctor came in to work on me because they had gone over with their previous patient. I had someone babysitting for me and they had to leave by a certain time so it was not ideal for me to wait, especially since they had already numbed me. Hopefully this doesn't happen again on future visits.

I came into professional smiles for a routine check up and cleaning. The waiting room is clean and set up for social distancing. The check in staff immediately greeted with beautiful smiles and was ready with paper in hand for me as a new patient. Wait time was less then ten minutes. Michelle was my hygienists. As a new patient I was in need of quite a bit of work. So Michelle immediately started with x-rays, to see exactly what was goin on. Afterwards she started to inspect my teeth a gums. Michelle is highly detail oriented with her style of cleaning. I absolutely loved it. When Dr. Novi came in He was polite and highly informative. He gave detailed information about each concern he had regarding my teeth. Him and his staff came up with a great plan and directions to which he wanted to care for my teeth. I will have to undergo a root canal and the best part is, I didn't have to get a referral as they preform the procedure in their offices. The staff is great and I recommend this dentist to all patients.

From start to finish it was the best experience friendly staff especially Alexis and Karen. Very understanding. Not pushy. Clean. I’m a baby when it comes to dentist and I am looking forward to nice teeth!!! Highly recommend them

Whist I was visiting Florida I experienced wisdom tooth pain.. I visited Professional Smiles and was treated with respect and kindness.. Treatment was done and I was so pleased with the result!! Dr. Novi and Dr. Gabriela Frometa is an absolute joy! My kids and I saw Dr. Novi and his assistant Eley. They’re very reassuring and knowledgable. Their staff is extremely accommodating. My kids had an examination and a cleaning, I needed a deeper cleaning... Let me tell you, I am very sensitive and was not looking forward to this; But to my surprise the hygienist Shanei listened to my all my concerns and she was very careful now to hurt me. She has feather fingers! I am over all very happy with my decision to go to Professional Smiles. I highly recommends them!

Dr. Gabriela and Dr. Novi are kind and humble! They both are very approachable and friendly with their patients. I was nervous in the beginning but Dr. Gabriela took her time in reassuring me and helping me understand the whole process. I was very satisfied with their work and would 100% recommend them. Dr. Shina Patel, DMD

Dr. Shina Patel, a dedicated general dentist known for her diligence, clinical expertise, and commitment to patient satisfaction, earned her Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences in Psychology from the University of Florida in 2019. She completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Florida College of Dentistry in 2023. While in dental school, she volunteered at Freedom Clinics, providing emergency care to underserved communities, including extractions and restorations.

With a strong foundation in general dentistry and a special passion for the artistic aspects of dental care, Dr. Patel specializes in general, cosmetic, restorative, pediatric, and implant dentistry. Her clinical expertise includes procedures such as full-coverage crowns, Invisalign treatment, teeth whitening, and comprehensive smile makeovers. Fluent in Hindi and Gujarati, she values connecting with patients from diverse backgrounds and is passionate about providing comprehensive care while fostering meaningful connections with her patients, colleagues, and community.

Her dedication to excellence has been recognized through honors, including the UF Clinical and Professional Excellence Award and the Pierre Fauchard Academy Award for leadership, community service, integrity, and communication. She is also an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and continues to pursue research and evidence-based advancements in dental practice.

Dr. Patel’s philosophy centers on building lasting, trusting relationships with her patients by taking the time to understand their unique goals and concerns and developing personalized treatment plans that enhance oral health and overall well-being.

Outside of dentistry, she enjoys traveling, exploring new cuisines, and spending time with family and friends. Having returned to her hometown of Davenport, FL, Dr. Patel looks forward to welcoming patients and helping them achieve healthy, radiant smiles.

Dr. Ankit Patel, DMD

Dr. Ankit Patel is a dentist known in the community for his compassionate, patient-centered approach to care. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Florida, building a strong foundation in analytical thinking and problem-solving that continues to shape his approach to dentistry. He went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Florida College of Dentistry, where he received comprehensive training in modern dental care and graduated Magna Cum Laude as a member of the Class of 2023.

Dr. Patel provides comprehensive general, restorative, implant, and cosmetic dentistry in a comfortable and welcoming environment. He is passionate about combining science with hands-on care to improve oral health and confidence. He is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care with a modern, compassionate approach.

Following dental school, he practiced as a general dentist, gaining experience in restorative care, crown and bridge work, removable prosthodontics, extractions, and dental implants. Dr. Patel is an active member of the American Dental Association and the Florida Dental Association.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Patel enjoys hiking, traveling, exploring new foods, watching movies, reading, and attending live sporting events, especially cheering on the Florida Gators. He is also committed to giving back through service, having participated in the Florida Mission of Mercy, and hopes to continue volunteering on dental mission trips to serve underserved communities around the world. When he’s not working, you might find him enjoying a meal at his favorite spot, Juancho’s Birrieria.
